About the compound interest calculator
Estimate how savings or investments may grow with compound interest over time. This tool is designed to provide a quick estimate with clear, easy-to-understand results. It runs in your browser and does not require you to create an account.
How the calculation works
Future value = principal × (1 + annual rate ÷ compounding periods)^(periods × years). Contributions are not included.
Example
An initial 1,000 at 5% annually for 10 years becomes approximately 1,628.89 when compounded annually.
When should you use it?
Use this calculator for planning, checking estimates, comparing options, and understanding the effect of different input values. Results depend on the information you enter and may not include fees, exceptions, or local rules that are not explicitly represented.
